Angels Suffer 13-1 Home Defeat
Edwin Gonzalez had a strong outing for the Houston Astros against the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 13-1 win. With the win, the Astros improved to 70-60.

Yordan Alvarez had a big 3-run home run for the Astros in the top of the third inning. With Houston leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he sized up a curveball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Jorge Marcheco and punished it. The result was his 29th home run of the season, which put the Astros on top, 4-0.

"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said Houston manager James Woolsey. "That's what Edwin is right now."
