The Reds grabbed a win, 4-3, at Rogers Centre, overcoming a fine effort from Toronto pitcher Nathan Eovaldi. Eovaldi went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. Alexis Diaz notched his 24th save in 27 chances. The Reds, at 59-68, have now won 4 straight.

Cincinnati used a clutch hit from Allan Cerda to get the win. The left fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Reds ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Coulda, shoulda, woulda," said Toronto manager Larry Paullin. "We had our chances and didn't cash in."
