Angel Stadium of Anaheim hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

Los Angeles starter Brett Kerry pitched effectively against the Atlanta Braves at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-0. Kerry picked up the win for Los Angeles, going 5.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 6-6.

The Braves had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Angels going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 11-year veteran Randal Grichuk came to the plate. Grichuk hit a 2-run home run on a 1-1 fastball from Atlanta hurler Max Fried. It was Grichuk's 10th home run of the year.
