Kauffman Stadium played host to some real drama.

Starting pitcher Blake Snell gave the Kansas City Royals a rock-solid performance, helping them defeat the Seattle Mariners, 2-1, in 10 innings. Kansas City is third in the American League Central Division with a record of 58-65.

Kansas City got a clutch hit from Nolan Gorman. The third baseman socked a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was game-ender.

"Tough ballgame, tough loss," said Seattle manager Andres Wray.
