Freeman Slaps 5 Hits
|
No matter what the Milwaukee Brewers threw at him today, Freddie Freeman hit it. He easily handled Brewers pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Dodgers to a 14-2 triumph at American Family Field.
"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Freeman's quip, Brewers skipper Mike Leitao said he "would take him up on that next time."
Freddie Freeman singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Stiven Cruz in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
In the current season, Freeman has put up a .343 batting average with 158 hits, 23 home runs, 84 runs batted in and scored 84 runs.
