Doughty Powers Blue Jays Offense
The Toronto Blue Jays trumped the Los Angeles Angels, 15-7, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Toronto second baseman Cade Doughty was terrific. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Kevin Gausman was the winning pitcher. Over 5.2 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. The last-place Blue Jays sport a record of 52-68.

The Blue Jays got an important contribution from designated hitter Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who in the top of the first punched a 0-1 fastball into center for a 2-run double. It was his 18th double of the season and put the Blue Jays ahead, 3-0.
