The Minnesota Twins faced a tough opponent in Detroit pitcher Tarik Skubal, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Comerica Park by a final score of 4-3. Skubal went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. The Twins have an impressive 72-45 record.

Minnesota used the timely hitting of Jose Salas to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Twins on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We put together a nice win," Salas said.
