Twins Suffer 4-2 Setback
The Cleveland Guardians took Minnesota pitcher Jack O'Connor's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Progressive Field. The final score had Cleveland getting past the Twins, 4-2. O'Connor went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 8. The winner in relief was Triston McKenzie. He is now 4-7. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. Emmanuel Clase sewed up the save, his 25th.

Deric Fabian aided the Cleveland cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter went 3-4 with 3 singles.

"I like what I saw today," said Cleveland manager Mike Parrish, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."

The third-place Guardians go to 57-57.
