Fans watched the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox fight to the finish.

The New York Yankees knocked off the Boston Red Sox, 5-4, in American League action at Fenway Park. New York pitcher and Ocoee, Florida, native Tyler Baum had an outstanding performance. Gerrit Cole closed it out for his 1st save.

New York used the timely hitting of Tyler Locklear to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Yankees ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Tyler looked like he had more finish on his ball," said New York manager Sal Gaudio.

At 56-55, New York is in third place in the American League East Division.
