Orioles Make It 11 in a Row with 6-3 Win
|
The Baltimore Orioles withstood an impressive performance by Cleveland catcher Bo Naylor to defeat the Guardians, 6-3, at Progressive Field. Naylor hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Johan Dominguez picked up the win, improving his season record to 8-7. He struck out 7 in 5.1 innings. The Orioles lead the American League East Division by 3 games.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Gunnar Henderson? The Baltimore third baseman had a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Orioles on top, 4-0. For the game, Henderson had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"It's fun coming to the ballpark," said Henderson, "when you're on this kind of roll."
