The first-place New York Mets took on the Minnesota Twins in front of a spirited crowd.

The performance of Brandon Nimmo proved critical in helping New York beat Minnesota, 7-5. The Mets center fielder belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The winner was Aaron Nola, who threw 93 pitches over 6.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs on 6 hits.
