Mariners Get Past Boston for 3-2 Win
|
Seattle and Boston duked it out and the Mariners came out victorious.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Seattle Mariners and the Boston Red Sox, Logan Allen was the difference-maker. The Seattle left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Seattle reliever Gabe Speier was the winner. His record is now 1-4. The losing pitcher was Garrett Whitlock.
In the top of the sixth, right fielder Jarred Kelenic hit a 2-run home run to center. The home run, which was hit off of Kutter Crawford, gave Seattle a 2-0 lead.
After the game, Seattle manager Andres Wray applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
After today's action, Seattle sits at 48-60; Boston slips to 54-52.
