The St. Louis Cardinals had to overcome a fine effort from Colorado pitcher Chris McMahon to win, 6-4, at Busch Stadium. McMahon went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Evan Phillips, credited with the save, is now 23 for 24 in save opportunities. The 4th-place Cardinals now sit at 52-54.
