Angels Saddle Athletics with 3-1 Loss
|
Los Angeles got a first-rate effort from pitcher Patrick Sandoval, who frustrated Oakland hitters en route to a 3-1 Angels triumph at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The 4th-place Angels now have a 5-game winning streak.
The Angels got a big hit from shortstop Zach Neto. In the bottom of the fifth, Neto pounded a solo home run to center. His 7th home run of the season put the Angels ahead, 3-1.
"I went after the hitters," said Sandoval. "No pussyfooting around."
