Giants Upend Dodgers, 2-0
|
The San Francisco Giants had to overcome a good performance from Los Angeles pitcher Dustin May to claim a 2-0 win at Dodger Stadium. May went 5 innings and allowed no runs. Joe Ross was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed no runs on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Camilo Doval converted his 29th save in 33 tries.
San Francisco used the bat of LaMonte Wade Jr. to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Giants ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it did its damage.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Wade Jr..
San Francisco now sits at 53-48, while Los Angeles falls to 64-36.
