Blue Jays Fall, 5-3, to Atlanta
|
The Atlanta Braves topped the Toronto Blue Jays, 5-3, in National League action at Truist Park. The standout performance belonged to Atlanta pitcher and Huntsville, Alabama, native Kyle Wright. Getting the save was Jose Chavez, his 21st. The Braves now own a record of 46-45.
The Braves got a big hit from left fielder Sabin Ceballos. Facing Toronto pitcher Joe Musgrove in the bottom of the fifth, Ceballos pounded a 3-run home run to left. His 25th home run of the season put the Braves ahead, 4-0.
"I thought we competed really well," said Braves manager Ron Roeble. "I thought the energy was really good."
