The Chicago Cubs downed the San Francisco Giants, 6-0, at Oracle Park. Chicago pitcher Humberto Mejia had a scintillating performance. With the win, Chicago upped its record to 50-40.
Henry Davis helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 2-0, Cubs.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Chicago manager Paul Husch.
