Baltimore had no answer for Minnesota Twins hurler Jeffrey Springs, who overwhelmed Orioles hitters as the Twins coasted to victory, 10-1. Minnesota, at 55-33, sits in first place in the American League Central Division.

The Twins got a big hit from right fielder Walker Jenkins. Facing Baltimore pitcher Jesus Vargas in the bottom of the fifth, Jenkins pounded a bases-clearing double to right. His 5th double of the season put the Twins ahead, 9-0.

"They beat us, they beat us soundly," said losing manager Ron Chiu.
