Tigers Post 7-1 Win Over Pittsburgh
|
Detroit and Pittsburgh took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Detroit Tigers got a good effort from starter Reese Olson in defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. The final score was 7-1. The loss makes Pittsburgh 31-56.
Deyvison De Los Santos had a big 3-run home run for the Tigers in the top of the ninth inning. With Detroit leading 4-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a fastball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Jorge Ramos and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 20th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tigers ahead, 7-1.
"Winning never gets dull," said De Los Santos.
