Rangers Clip White Sox, 3-2
|
Texas Rangers starter Juaron Watts-Brown was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Chicago White Sox, 3-2. Watts-Brown got the win, improving to 9-4. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Texas is 4th in the American League West Division with a record of 42-41.
Colin Houck had a big 2-run home run for the Rangers in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Texas leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 29-year old right-handed pitcher Cade Cavalli and swatted a home run to left. It was his 16th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rangers ahead, 3-0.
Houck said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
