Astros Handed 4-2 Loss by Minnesota
|
Behind an impressive start by Drew Graham, Minnesota beat Houston, 4-2. Graham yielded 2 runs over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-3. Houston has now lost 4 straight.
Luke Keaschall had a big 2-run double for the Twins in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Minnesota trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Misael Tamarez, who is tied for 8th in the AL with a 10.5 K/9 rate, and swatted a double to left. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twins ahead, 2-1.
"It wasn't a very good day at the ballpark," said Houston manager James Woolsey.
