The Colorado Rockies got a magnificent performance from pitcher Joe Rock, who muffled the New York offense en route to a tight, 3-0 Rockies win at Colorado Field. Victor Vodnik picked up his 18th save of the season. The 4th-place Rockies are now 30-45, the Mets 33-41.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Gavin Hollowell didn't flinch. With the bases loaded and New York trailing 2-0, Hollowell retired Jett Williams to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Hollowell, with a wink.
