The Texas Rangers got a superb performance from third baseman Noelvi Marte, but the Colorado Rockies still won the game, 6-4. Marte went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Reliever Cam Robinson picked up the win. His record improves to 5-4. Kumar Rocker, who finished 4th in the AL in strikeouts with 218 in 2025, took the loss. Colorado, at 29-42, holds down last place in the National League West Division.

Had Jorge Castaneda not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Castaneda hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Rockies.

"When there are games to be won, you win them," said Colorado manager Quentin Nogosek.
