Cincinnati Wins, 3-2, in Extra Innings
|
The Cincinnati Reds called upon starter Rhett Lowder, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, 3-2. The winner in relief was Alexis Diaz. He is now 2-4. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 3 innings. The Reds now own a record of 32-39.
Cincinnati used a clutch hit from Spencer Steer to get the win. The first baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Reds ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just try to put up zeroes," said Lowder, "and let the rest take care of itself."
