Orioles Drop Another One, 8-4
|
Atlanta took on Baltimore in front of a lively crowd.
The Atlanta Braves beat the Baltimore Orioles, 8-4, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Matt Olson, in particular, was impressive. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Atlanta reliever Emmet Sheehan picked up the win to move to 1-1. Nick Vespi suffered the loss.
Atlanta used the bat of Andrew McCutchen to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Braves ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"Enjoyed this one," Olson told the Atlanta Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
With the win, the Braves hiked their record to 38-29.
