Mets Get 10-6 Win Versus Miami
|
The first-place New York Mets picked up another win.
The timely hitting of Kris Bryant helped the New York Mets down the Miami Marlins, 10-6. Bryant went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2 for the Mets. The winning pitcher was Aaron Nola. His record is now 7-4. The right-hander went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits for the Mets.
Pete Alonso, who is tied for 9th in the NL in home runs with 15, aided the New York cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman went 1-3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
"We've got a great group of guys," Bryant said, "and we're having fun right now."
