Blue Jays Lose, 11-5, in 10
|
Led by Anderson De Los Santos, the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 11-5, in 10 innings. De Los Santos belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Orioles. Baltimore pitcher Jonathan Loáisiga got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Brusdar Graterol got the loss. Baltimore is now 43-25, 6 games up in the American League East Division.
Baltimore used the timely hitting of Enrique Bradfield Jr. to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Orioles on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
In postgame remarks, Bradfield Jr. said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
