The Texas Rangers outlasted Rafael Devers and the Boston Red Sox, 9-8. Devers was impressive in the loss. The Boston right fielder belted 2 home runs. Texas reliever Juaron Watts-Brown picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Stijn Van Der Schaaf was saddled with the loss. Joe Parks earned save number 21 this season.

Texas used the hitting of Ian Moller to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Rangers on top, 3-0. For the game, Moller had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Both teams had plenty of clutch hits," said Moller. "It made for an exciting game."

The second-place Rangers are 36-29.
