Twins Pick Up 2-1 Win Over Pittsburgh
|
The Minnesota Twins tallied a win at PNC Park, throttling the Pittsburgh Pirates, 2-1. Starting pitcher Chris Paddack was a big reason for his team's success. Paddack went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 4. His record improves to 7-3. Minnesota improves to 36-29 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.
Byron Buxton, the two-time Gold Glove Award winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Buxton contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Minnesota up, 2-1.
