The outcome was not decided until the very end at Minute Maid Park.

The Houston Astros beat the Cleveland Guardians, 4-3, in 11 innings at Minute Maid Park. Yordan Alvarez, in particular, was impressive. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Houston reliever Luis Aguilar, who leads the AL in saves with 23, was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-4. Zion Jeudy took the loss for Cleveland.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 11th. With two out, Alvarez hit a fastball from Zion Jeudy for a run-scoring single. The Astros, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"He who laughs last laughs best," Alvarez said, postgame.

Houston currently is in third place in the American League West Division at 34-29.
