Rockies Rally to Eke Out Win
|
The Colorado Rockies eked out a 2-1 win versus the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Chris McMahon. He was terrific. Colorado is now 26-35. Cincinnati is 29-33.
Colorado needed the clutch hitting of Eddinson Paulino to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Rockies on top, 2-1. For the game, Paulino had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"There's no quit in this team," said Rockies manager Quentin Nogosek.
