Extra-Inning Win by Blue Jays Over Phillies
The Toronto Blue Jays trumped the Philadelphia Phillies, 7-5, in 11 innings. Toronto shortstop Manuel Beltre was impactful. He went 1-3 with a home run, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Camilo Sanchez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-2. Ernesto Carrasco was tagged with the loss. Toronto is now 28-35, Philadelphia 30-31.

Toronto used the timely hitting of JJ Bleday to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Blue Jays on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Beltre.
