The Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox provided some drama for the home crowd.

Boston Red Sox starter Packy Naughton found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Texas Rangers. Erick Rodriguez claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record stands at 1-1. Josh Hader closed the door for Boston, picking up his 15th save of the year.

Center Fielder Daulton Varsho made an impact for Boston, when he swatted a 2-run double off Andrew Painter in the top of the third. For the contest, Varsho was 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

After the game, Boston manager Joe Curtis applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

Boston is now 32-26.
