Astros Pull Even With 8-2 Victory
Houston Astros starter Jaime Melendez had all his pitches working at Minute Maid Park. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-2 Houston win over the Minnesota Twins. Melendez got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 3 hits and walked 0 over 5 innings. Melendez allowed no runs. Houston raised its record to 29-29 with the win.

The Astros got a big hit from left fielder Chas McCormick. In the bottom of the sixth, McCormick pounded a 3-run home run to left-center. His 10th home run of the season put the Astros ahead, 8-0.
