Home Loss Shrinks Astros Series Lead to 2-1
Behind a bravura effort from starter Dustin May, the Los Angeles Dodgers topped the Houston Astros by the score of 4-1 today and got their first win in the 2024 World Series. May threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball for the Dodgers. The win narrows Los Angeles's deficit to 2-1.

May allowed no runs over 6.1 innings. He also racked up 6 strikeouts.

"It has been an incredible experience today," May said in the clubhouse following the game. "It's a short list of people who have started in the World Series at all, and an even shorter list who have done a good job of it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Minute Maid Park in Houston.
