Baltimore Takes Division Series in Deciding Game
|
It went the distance, but the Baltimore Orioles finally disposed of the Minnesota Twins 6-1 in the series clincher at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
Winning the finale gave the Orioles the series, 3-2. They will now advance to the League Championship Series.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to Baltimore first baseman Coby Mayo. He batted .368 in the series, collecting 5 RBIs and scoring 3 runs.
"Coby deserves it," said Orioles manager Ron Chiu. "He was the glue that held our club together."
The Baltimore Orioles will play against the Seattle Mariners in the next round. Seattle won their series against the Boston Red Sox 3 games to 1. The League Championship Series is scheduled to begin on October 16th , 2027.
