Twins Prevail, as Wildcard Series Goes to the Wire
The joy and relief on the faces of the Minnesota Twins players was obvious as they celebrated their Wildcard Series win over the Las Vegas Athletics.

"In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Minnesota third baseman Jose Salas, shortly after the 1-0 win that clinched the series 2-1. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done."

The team is now off to the Division Series.

Salas won series MVP honors on the strength of his .417 batting average during the series. He also had a .462 on-base percentage and 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Minnesota Twins will play against the Baltimore Orioles in the next round. Baltimore had a bye in the Wildcard Series. The Division Series is scheduled to begin on October 8th , 2027.
