Orioles Hammered by De Paula, Drop Game 2 to Red Sox
|
With pinch hitter Josue De Paula leading the charge, the Boston Red Sox defeated the visiting Baltimore Orioles, 5-4, in Game 2 of the Wildcard Series. De Paula went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once at Fenway Park to help Boston force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-3 series.
Brooklyn, New York native Josue De Paula had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the sixth for the Red Sox. With Boston trailing 2-1, he hit a 3-run home run.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Baltimore manager Ron Chiu said, following the tough loss.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Fenway Park in Boston.
