Mets Win, 1-0, Versus Giants
|
Aaron Nola was masterful in helping the New York Mets take down the San Francisco Giants, 1-0. Earning his 15th save of the year was Edwin Díaz. The first-place Mets have won 4 straight games.
Early in the game, center fielder Brandon Nimmo had a run-scoring double for New York. It was his 7th double of the season and put the Mets on top, 1-0.
"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said New York manager Dave Gawron.
