Rockies Prevail, as League Championship Series Goes to the Wire
The Colorado Rockies were paced by a strong offensive output from Matt Chapman as they downed the Cincinnati Reds 4-3 to win the League Championship Series.

Colorado won the final game by a score of 12-5 at Colorado Field to send themselves off to the World Series.

"I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said shortstop Chapman, who was named MVP.

For the series, the MVP hit .440 with a .462 on-base percentage. He had 6 home runs, drove in 12 RBI and scored 8 runs.

The Colorado Rockies will play against the Kansas City Royals in the next round. Kansas City won their series against the Toronto Blue Jays 4 games to 0. The World Series is scheduled to begin on October 24th , 2031.
