Twins LF Rodriguez belts 2 home runs in Win
Getting a good performance from right fielder Emmanuel Rodriguez, the Minnesota Twins defeated the Kansas City Royals, 7-4. Rodriguez was 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Twins. The win belonged to Joe Whitman in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Chase Shores took the loss for Kansas City. Alex Scherff sewed up the save, his 17th.

With Minnesota leading 4-3 in the top of the fifth, Rodriguez hit a fastball from Chase Shores for a 2-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Twins ahead, 6-3.

"This is a very good team," said Rodriguez. "We have the chance to do something special."

The Twins saw their win-loss record go to 32-20. At the same time, the Royals fell to 25-28.
