Minnesota Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in DS
The Minnesota Twins moved to within one game of the League Championship Series today, downing the visiting Toronto Blue Jays at Target Field by a score of 6-4. Twins first baseman Nate Lowe did some major damage. He was 1-2 with 2 walks. He scored 2 times. The win gives the Twins a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.

In the bottom of the sixth, Minnesota center fielder Trent Grisham had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and two out, Grisham stroked a run-scoring double to right. It made the score 5-4, Minnesota. For the game, he was 2-3 with a double and a walk.

"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Grisham said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Target Field in Minneapolis.
