George Blasts Blue Jays, Mariners Take Game 1, 8-7
The Seattle Mariners got past the Toronto Blue Jays by the score of 8-7 today in the crucial first game of the Wild Card Game at T-Mobile Park. Seattle right fielder Ben George went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice, to lead the charge. With a 1-0 lead, the Mariners will have two chances to close out the Blue Jays.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Seattle trailing 7-6, Josh Costanzo jumped on a 1-0 changeup from Tregan Dressler for a 2-run home run, sending the Mariners to a walk-off win.

"There's nothing like the buzz of a walk-off win," George said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
