Texas turned a good performance from starting pitcher Andrew Painter into a 4-2 triumph over the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. Texas is 28-21 and Houston, with the loss, 20-30.

Texas used a well-timed hit by Anthony Gutierrez to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Painter.
