Red Sox Rally to Win
|
Boston Red Sox starter Stijn Van Der Schaaf was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Los Angeles Angels, 4-3. Boston pitcher Josh Hader got the win, upping his record to 3-2. Max Gieg got the loss. Fran Oschell collected save number 2.
Boston needed the clutch hitting of Rafael Devers to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 4-3. For the game, Devers had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"It's a mindset," said Van Der Schaaf. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
Boston has rattled off 4 straight wins.
