Dodgers Win, Now 28-18
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers topped the Cincinnati Reds, 3-0, the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Freddie Freeman. On the day, Freeman was 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Dodgers. Los Angeles reliever Dylan Floro was the winner. His record is now 5-1. Eury Perez took the loss. The National League West Division-leading Dodgers are 28-18.
Freeman had a key at-bat for Los Angeles early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and gave Los Angeles an early 2-0 lead.
"The name on the front of this uniform is all that matters to me," Freeman told the Los Angeles Chronicle. "And padding the Los Angeles win column."
