Marlins Rocked By Dodgers, 11-0
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Miami Marlins and Los Angeles Dodgers get after it.
Mookie Betts left his imprint on the 11-0 Los Angeles win against the Miami Marlins. Betts, who is tied for 3rd in the NL in home runs with 12, was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Walker Buehler, the winner, improved to 2-3. He held Miami to no runs on 3 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 6 strikeouts.
Max Muncy went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for Los Angeles. The two-time All-Star had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Sixto Sanchez. It was his 11th RBI of the season.
"Things went our way," said Betts.
The Dodgers bumped their record to 21-16 with this win.
