Bats Fail for Tigers in 6-0 Loss
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of New York fans at Yankee Stadium.
Pitcher Richard Fitts was rock solid in helping the New York Yankees beat the Detroit Tigers, 6-0. The win puts New York at 20-15 this season.
Fitts imposed his will on the Tigers, scattering 3 hits over 6 innings while striking out 10. The right-hander upped his season record to 2-1.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Snake Clement.
