Pirates Deal Brewers 7-0 Defeat
|
The Pittsburgh Pirates topped the Milwaukee Brewers, 7-0, in National League action at American Family Field. The standout performance belonged to Pittsburgh pitcher and Houston, Texas, native David Leal. At 18-15, the Pirates find themselves in first place in the National League Central Division.
Malcom Nunez broke a 0-0 tie in the top of the third with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Pirates in front, 1-0. For the game, Nunez went 1-3 with a walk.
"We put our best foot forward tonight," said a smiling Leal.
