Angels Earn Late 1-0 Win
|
The Toronto Blue Jays wasted an impressive 8-inning effort from starter Joe Musgrove, falling, 1-0, to the Los Angeles Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Los Angeles reliever Eric Torres was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Isaiah Campbell. The win gives Los Angeles a record of 17-13.
Los Angeles got a knockout punch from Alberto Rios. The catcher hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 13th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"This place was jumping at the end," Rios said.
